| Depending
on equipment, volume, services required, there is a great
variation on the cost. We encourage you to contact our sales
department in order to provide you with a prompt customized
quote for what you require. |

is your level of service? |
| Our
service is our pride. We guarantee that once we pick up your
equipment, that you will have very little to do except look
at an asset disposition report to determine the fate of your
assets. We want this process to relieve you completely of
any burden. We will save you time, money, and frustration. |
| What
do you do with non-saleable items? |
Whether
a company sells, donates or disposes of old IT equipment, it encounters
two major risks: secure removal of data and proprietary software,
and responsible environmentally sound handling.
Many
computer parts contain toxic elements that are potentially damaging
to the environment. Legally, the lead and mercury found in CPUs
and monitors are considered hazardous waste and must be disposed
of properly. All products which are not suitable for reuse are properly
disposed of in the most environmentally-friendly manner possible.
At
AMC, being environmentally conscious is paramount. As we have our
own in-house environmental engineer. His position at AMC consists
of implementing all recycling procedures that must comply to government
environmental regulations as well as adhere to electronics recycling
associations guidelines. |

| How
do we know which equipment should be disposed of? |
| The
initial step in the process is called the Audit. This consists
of our technicians assessing every piece of equipment and providing
you with the status and recommendations of this equipment through
our Asset Disposition Report. This will give you a clear view
of what you should do with each piece of equipment including
whether you should dispose of it. |
| Is
transport included? |
| Part
of our services offered is transporting the assets to our
locations. When a contract is made,whether transport is included
or not, is determined by the customer. |
| What
about data security? Are the hard drives completely erased? |
AMC
uses the latest electronic wiping techniques (DoD standards)
in order to insure no data can be recovered. All reusable
electronic data storage devices will go through our wiping
procedure. This
program will reset every bit back to 0’s, hence wiping all
data, including partition tables and boot record information.
The device may go through this process up to 7 iterations
to ensure reusability and full wiping go data. After the
wiping process,
the disk must be repartitioned for reuse.
If
the storage device fails the wiping process, with the customer’s
permission, AMC will destroy the medium. |
